Please note: To get the extension your child must register for work, education or training within 20 weeks of leaving full-time non-advanced education or approved training. You must apply for the extension within three months of your child's leaving date. The extension only starts once you tell the Child Benefit Office who they registered with and the date they registered. You can apply now, then give this information later.
