That's a brilliant idea how do I work out how much to put away? I am buying a lease and am a first timer so worried about making sure I get my taxes correct. We are due into the premises for May 1st. I want to start on the right foot with this.

I am not sure if you are referring to being self-employed and starting this on 1st May. If you are and you have no other income such as employment or pension, then you may find the ready reckoner tool very useful for budgeting and putting money aside for your tax and National Insurance.
