HMRC paperless notifications: new message

02/05/2019 12:44:25
I received a message in my email stating:
Dear ...
You have a new message from HMRC about Self Assessment.
To view it, sign in to your HMRC online account.
For security reasons, we have not included a link with this email.

So I signed in my personal tax account, get to the home page... and no message to be seen anywhere.
Then I signed up to my self-assessment "At a glance" page (for some unexplained reason, the self-assessment "At a glance" page can't be reached directly from personal tax account home, it is necessary to log out and re-sign in, while the tax account home page is linked to the self-assessment web page... boh)
No sign of any message there, too, anyway.
Where is this message??? Why doubling everything up? instead of sending an email saying "there is a message" wouldn't be more efficient sending an email WITH the message in it?
Best regards
