Two different freelance businesses

What do I need to do if I have two different freelance businesses (plus some temp work?) When I first started out transcribing for an agency, I registered with HMRC under my own name. When I started my own business transcribing directly for my own clients, I did this under my business name, but the business is not registered as a legal entity. I have now started working as a Virtual Assistant, in addition to the transcription work. This is under a separate business name, and again, not registered as a legal entity. To complicate matters further, I have registered with a temp agency and they will allow me to invoice they rather than go on PAYE - so I'll have a third stream of income. So my question is, do I need to register these two different business names with HMRC, how does the temp work fit into the picture, and can I still submit one set of accounts? (I am well under the VAT threshold and I do not employ anyone else.)

Hi there

When you complete your tax return you can declare each source individually under the self employed income page. The temp agency work (as long as you invoice them) will be treated the same as your other self employments.
