POSTED AGAIN as you stated you forwarded a private message, l have no private message from you?

l am working in a mixture of employed and self employed roles. In one of my PAYE roles the employer is stating that l do not have the ability to claim commuting mileage - l agree and have no issues with this. They will pay me for mileage from the office to other sites, - again fine.

However they state that if on the occasional day l have an appointment in Birmingham, Glasgow etc for example that l deduct the initial part of my mileage from the claim? (the amount that l would use to drive to work that day) As l would not be driving to these places which are not regular places of work, nor offices that are satelite sites for my organisation they appear to be wanting me to subsides them, l am in debate with them regarding this at the moment. As far as l understand this is travel from home to an occasional site and l would be able as with other companies to claim the full amount providing l did not interupt the journey for my own use en route and it is all buisness miles.

Can you give a clear response as ll have read your downloadable PDF on expenses and do not consider this is realistic.
Thank you
