I use the cash basis system for my small curtain making business. I have been working out of my spare room, but am now building a log cabin in the back garden to be used solely for my business.

Can I include all of the costs associated with this in my accounts (i.e. groundworks, electrics, decorating and fittings)?

If so, do I put it all into this years accounts, or can it be spread at all, as it will probably take my profits below the tax free level of £11K this year?
